The Electronic Engineering album website will bring you the original large-scale reports in China - the new rewards of the top ten popular components in the quarter. We classify components into seven categories, including analog devices, processors and memory, connectors/passive/electromechanical (IP& E), logic and programmable logic, radio and microwave devices, power devices, and test and measurement devices, and then select the top 10 most popular products in each category. The results are from the website of CMP, a partner of this publication. The selection process is as follows: CMP's technical editors first select 10 of the seven most influential products from each of the new devices launched in the second quarter of 2004, then distribute 70 products to their readers, mainly senior engineers, managers and purchasing managers in the U.S. electronics industry, who rate the "technical significance" and "availability" of these products, with 1,300 readers participating. This ensures the authoritativeness and universality of the results.

Selecting and choosing components can help to improve competitiveness and differentiate products, but it also carries risks. Comments from leading engineers in these quarterly hot products and articles selected by industry veterans will help Chinese electronics design engineers select components correctly.

This column was launched by the Electronic Engineering Album website. This time, the first one presented to readers on the website is "Popular products evaluation of radio and microwave devices". Now analog devices and IP& are introduced. E-device two product reviews, and the other four product reviews will also be published on the electronic engineering album website. Next, we will continue to report quarterly reviews and invite Chinese engineers to participate.

7. M/A COM

Innovations in M/A COM-based digital multimode Transmitters Based on RF power amplifiers

Editor's Note: MA/COM has developed a digital transmitter technology. With this technology, designers will no longer need some bulky RF and analog modules, such as SAW filters, gain modules and power amplifiers, and simplify these devices into digital solutions. So what processing technology does MA/COM use in this kind of design? For the digital part, it is CMOS technology. However, for power components, RF power (up to 34 or 35 dBm -- 3W) components use the GaAs HBT technology used by the digital power amplifier. The company says its main goal is to find a way to control RF power based on signal processing technology.
